Spider Math Clip-it

Who doesn’t love a good clip activity. I know my students enjoy them. It keeps their hands busy and it is great for fine motor. To prepare the activity, simply print, laminate and cut. Students then count the quantity of spiders on each card. Next, they clip with a peg, or circle with a white board marker, one of the three provided answers.

Math Spider clip it is great for task boxes and early finishers. Cute pictures clearly set out, make this an easy to use activity for emergent learners and for those with Autism.

Math Spider Match It

The second activity is great for our very emergent learners. The students are asked to match one spider to one web. The activity board is a 10 frame. The webs sit above each number on the 10 frame to reinforce rote counting or very early one-to-one correspondence.

Great for sensory boxes. You can either place toy spiders or alternatively the spider pictures I have provided, into a range of sensory items such as rice, pasta, chick peas, cotton wool or blossom/plants. Grab some giant tweezers and watch the students have fun as they learn.
